Yann Moulinier
Born in 1993 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, bobsleigh pilot, passionate about sport, design, and teamwork, I am very pleased to present the Ice Line collections. These jewels are the result of my passions mixed with my desire to share the values I care about.
The bobsleigh
Immersed in the sports world since I was a child (my parents practiced high-level sport), I very quickly devoted my late afternoons and weekends to it. Football, Volleyball, track and field: these were my first contacts with camaraderie, effort, learning, surpassing oneself, listening, perseverance, …
My integration into the Swiss bobsleigh team in 2015 brought a new dimension to my approach to sport. With my participation in the world circuit, my sporting career gained new momentum. I am a calm person, I move forward with serenity, my eyes sparkling. There is a lot of unknown, it is exciting!
My Olympic goal
The Olympic Games are a real holy grail in sport and a source of inspiration for me. Admiring the best of the sporting world in front of the television set has always given me indescribable emotions. Taking part in it as an actor has become my ambition, a real boost! During each training session I see this flame on the horizon, it gives me the energy to work hard and surpass myself. Fascinating, enticing, it is a long road ahead of us. It is a good thing; I have an ogre’s appetite!
Art and design
La Chaux-de-Fonds:
Born and raised in the heart of La Chaux-de-Fonds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, I was strongly influenced by its watchmaking and architectural history.
In 2008, at the end of my compulsory schooling, I decided to take up architecture by becoming a building draughtsman. Sketches, plans, building site supervision, I am particularly fond of the symbiosis linking the artistic and technical sides of this field. A complementarity that is also, and quite naturally, found in watchmaking and jewelry.
In 2017, I unfortunately had to suspend my architectural activities to devote myself fully to my sporting adventure, knowing deeply that Art would return to me very soon.
And this is the case today, in 2020, with the Ice Line collections!
The Ice Line collections
Imagined, designed, manufactured and assembled at the heart of the Swiss mountains in the canton Neuchatel by the best craftspeople, these unique pieces of art combine the advanced technologies with the high-precision manual work and are the result of a teamwork seeking excellence.
The main piece sculpted in the same steel as the skate blades remind, in a very subtle way, the aerodynamic fuselage of our bobsleigh.
The cord knotting the piece to your wrist recalls those I use to guide the bobsleigh in the succession of curves in the ice canal.
Through their singular history, identifiable thanks to a unique and refined shape, the Ice Line collections are designed to seduce the most demanding customers with the promise of having, at your wrist, a timeless jewel, inspired by the local Swiss watchmaking heritage.
